Responding to the Black Lives Matter movement and the important pressure and questions being raised all around the world about our individual and systemic racism, one of the areas we could see that we, and other parents, could influence change is the education of our children. We know that we, and many of you, are keen to do better, to learn more, and to raise our kids with greater awareness and understanding than we have had. A wonderful way we can start to do this is through the many books we read with children.
We asked our Instagram community for children's book recommendations that celebrate and represent diversity. We were inundated with so many wonderful suggestions and thought we would share some of the common responses here. When looking for books for your little one, we recommend supporting local bookstores or browsing the shelves of your local library.
